As severe heat waves continue to spread across the European countries, weathermen are now saying that the all-time temperature record in Europe could be broken in the coming days. In other parts of Europe, Sweden's highest ice peak is melting at a rate of several centimeters a day. One of the major problems lies in the fact that few countries are fully equipped to cope with the insufferable(难以忍受的)heat, although some emergency measures have been taken by individual countries.
